Albanian Origin Footballers in Turkish Leagues

Many foreign football players have been playing in the Turkish Super League and the 1st League for a long time. Recently, many footballers of Albanian origin have been added to these foreigners. A total of 28 football players, mainly from Kosovo and Albania, and a few from North Macedonia or Switzerland, currently play for 19 different teams. It is easy to come across at least one Albanian in almost every match. The most expensive among them is Milot Rashica, who previously played for Galatasaray Club and currently plays for Beşiktaş JK.

According to the Transfermarkt website, Rashica's current value is €8.5 Million. Rashica is followed by Trabzon Spor's North Macedonian Enis Bardhi with €6 Million. The total value of Albanian football players playing in Turkey is 38.5 Million €. The total amount of this, which is 34,875 Million €, belongs to the football players playing in the Super League, and the rest (3,625 M €) belongs to the football players playing in the 1st League. Last season, Konyaspor, İstanbul Spor, and Adana Demir Spor played three Albanian football players each. In contrast, this season İstanbul Spor continues with 3 Albanians, while Manisa Spor, which plays in the 1st League, also has 3 Albanians. These teams are followed by Adana Demir Spor, Alanya Spor, Ankara Keçiörengücü, Antalya Spor, and Fatih Karagümrük with two players each.

Albanian football players are relatively cheap, but they are high quality, hard-working, talented, and adaptable. That's why they are preferred in Turkey. When you look at their contribution to their teams, it is clear how much they deserve the money they earn.
